Founded in 2014, Chilou Projects (Pty) LTD is a Rustenburg based, proud black owned company and Level 2 BBB-EE contributor.

We strive to become the preferred service provider of Scaffold, Formwork, Structural, Civil and related services in the mining and processing industry by structuring around the needs of our clients and relying on the capabilities and expertise of our team members. We ensure that our client’s goals are our personal priority and that we execute our client’s requirements with only the highest degree of professionalism, quality and integrity.

Situated in the centre of the western platinum complex, we serve our valued clients with a spectrum of solutions to suit their unique operations, and have extended our footprint into other provinces and industries.

Our Leadership and Team

Our leadership team has a combined experience of more than 60 years in the mining and construction industry.

Chilou Projects team consists of a group of individuals that offer expertise in a comprehensive range of products and services specializing in the mining and construction sectors.

Our team has the passion and expertise to deal with the full range of planning and implementation to ensure successful execution of services and products we offer.

Empowerment Programmes

Women in Mining

Mining contributes to the rural economic development and general poverty alleviation (MMSD Report, 2002). In assisting with the development of women in mining we encourage women in our team to complete their National Certificate: Small Scale Mining.

Over the past ten years there has been an increase in the historically disadvantaged South Africans in the Mining Sector.

The qualification affords women the opportunity to gain both the theoretical and practical experience that will enable them to understand the running and operation of mining. The qualification and experience address core components such as: Occupational Health, Safety and Environment, Basic Finance and Accounting, Geology and Basic Maintenance Practice.

The special electives address the mining process and technology. The balance between the essential knowledge and practical experience provides delegates with the foundation to operate effectively and responsibly within the mining sector.

Individuals with this qualification are able to:

• Communicate and solve problems in a variety of ways.
• Conduct operations on a mine.
• Demonstrate an understanding of engineering principles in the mining sector.
• Demonstrate an understanding of basic geological principles.

In addition to the qualification and experience it affords women in mining with opportunities under guidance of subject matter experts to start and pursue a career in the mining sector

Skills Development

We actively invest in Skills Development Programmes to develop the skills of our workforce on an annual basis. We contribute toward unemployment under the local communities though internships programmes for our youth.
